Since June 2012, Fr. Adam Lee Ortega y Ortiz has been Pastor at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in heart of downtown Santa Fe. It is the oldest and very vibrant Roman Catholic Faith Community in Santa Fe. He also is Pastor of his home parish Cristo Rey in Santa Fe. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 1992. He has served as a priest in Northern New Mexico since that time. Fr. Adam has served on the Archdiocesan Presbyteral Council for 9 years and has been its Chairman for 6 years. He also serves on the Liturgical Commission and Compliance review committee for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. He also has served as Chairman of the National Board for the National Federation of Priests Councils. Fr. Adam has also helped in the Marriage Tribunal Office for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. He is a native of Santa Fe. He attended St. Michael’s High School, The College of Santa Fe (BA in Religious Studies and Philosophy) and Mount Angel Seminary (Masters of Divinity) in Oregon.
